Officers were dispatched to Spring Street at approximately 5 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, where there was a report of a stolen truck. While responding, they spotted the Chevrolet Colorado traveling on Main Street. The officers made a U-turn to follow the vehicle, which turned onto Kirby Plaza and South Moger before speeding away.
The driver, Mount Kisco resident Pablo Amaya-Rodriguez, 26, eventually stopped near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Gregory Avenue. He was arrested without further incident. The investigation into the stolen truck determined that it was taken after his wife temporarily left it running in front of their home.
Amaya-Rodriguez was charged with grand larceny and driving while intoxicated. He was also cited for not wearing a seatbelt driving without a license and speeding. He is due in court at a later date to answer the charges.
